Hello, I'm Ester Lenizo

Founder & Senior Travel Designer

Welcome to ToursNearby.com. I am blessed with the name Ester—a variant of Esther, meaning "myrtle leaf," a plant historically used for healing. My surname, Lenizo, has imbued me with a friendly nature and a passion for artistic expression.

Born in the Philippines—that stunning archipelago of 7,083 islands in Southeast Asia—my life’s adventure eventually led me to Italy, my second beautiful home.

Today, I channel 28 years of global tourism experience into creating the expert itineraries you find on this website.

A Foundation of Grit

My career began earlier than most. At age 17, I worked days at an Audio-Visual company while attending university at night. That determination paid off. Four years later, I was sent to Japan on my first corporate assignment. That trip didn’t just open my eyes to the world; it launched a career that has spanned nearly three decades.

The Professional Journey

I didn't just travel; I mastered the industry. From those early days in Japan, I grew into a Licensed Professional Tour Guide (8 years) and eventually a Travel & Tour Operations Manager (15+ years), specializing in the complex Asian and European markets.

Currently, I operate as a freelance Tour Director in Europe. While I thrive in the high-pressure environment of live tours (the adrenaline keeps me sharp!), my true strength lies in logistics.

My Philosophy: Operations Meets Art

I view travel planning as an intersection of Operations and Art. An itinerary isn't just a list of places; it's a logistical engine that needs to run smoothly so you can enjoy the experience.

My specialized background as a Director of Operations means I don't just pick "pretty spots." I leverage decades of logistical acumen to engineer stability. Whether managing corporate travel or designing the PDF guide you are about to download, my goal is the same: transforming complex travel challenges into streamlined, unforgettable experiences.

"I don’t just want to travel; I want to help you explore the world smartly, safely, and with the insight of a local expert."
